Philadelphia’s grindcore powerhouse trio DIE CHOKING will embark on a tour of the East Coast and Great Lakes regions this week. The tour commences this Thursday, August 10th at Philly’s Barbary where they will meet up with London, UK’s spastic fastcore punks, Mister Lizard, and the angular sonic marauders in Columbia, South Carolina’s Bathe for an eleven-date stretch.

DIE CHOKING’s tour with Mister Lizard and Bathe will highlight various bands throughout the bustling DIY punk community including shows with Grin and Bear It, Falter, Deterioration, Eaten Alive, and more. The August 19th show at Cleveland’s Now That’s Class venue is an absolutely stacked billing that will also include legendary fastcore band Siege’s final area performance, plus special guests, and Cleveland hardcore punk mainstays, Fuck You Pay Me. The following night, August 20th at Pittsburgh’s ninth annual gathering of the punks, Skull Fest, will conclude the trek in raucous fashion.

Drummer Joshua Cohen commented on the tour, stating, “I love that we’re doing a true DIY run and bringing out two young, explosive bands from separate ends of the globe with two totally different spins on aggressive music. All of these shows have been booked by people actively supporting and involved in their respective DIY scenes. Which is important to recognize. We couldn’t do what we do without them. Mister Lizard and Bathe both put on absolutely insane live shows, so we’re totally stoked to bring a unique, high-energy, and high-quality package to such a rad set of intimate performances at proper punk-show prices.”

DIE CHOKING continues to prepare material for the follow-up to their III LP with the forthcoming trek seeing the band debuting two fresh cuts. Cohen states, “We recently relocated our rehearsal space and have been putting some serious time drilling ourselves with the metronome. While we don’t use a metronome for our live shows because that organic immediacy is important to us, the new rehearsal formula has definitely forced us to ramp up the intensity of new the songs and the live set. We’re hitting a stride where the music is at its most unrelenting and dense to date.”

Following their crushing set at Maryland Deathfest, Philly maniacs DIE CHOKING embark on a new live binge dubbed No Sleep Till Philly this weekend, June 23rd, 24th, and 25th, packing four shows into three days.

DIE CHOKING will hit three 1Fest events – Brooklyn on Friday, Washington DC on Saturday, and Philadelphia on Sunday – touring with infamous Los Angeles powerviolence crew Crom, as well as Wildspeaker and Antwon. Sunday sees DIE CHOKING tackling a double-header, as the trio will kick off the day at the Psychedelic Breakfast, with An Albatross and Residuels, which begins at an unprecedented 6am! The band will be filming and posting sporadically throughout the four-day stint, posting with the tag #nosleeptillphilly.

Philly grind trio DIE CHOKING heads back out for another live assault this week, as the band travels north to Ithaca, New York to take part in 1Fest alongside Artificial Brain, Kayo Dot, Disparo, before heading south to make their debut performance at Maryland Deathfest, joining Terrorizer, War Master, P.L.F., Iron Lung, Suppression, Genocide Pact, and more.

DIE CHOKING has also issued a new multi-angle live video of the band’s set filmed at the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest pre-show at The Barbary in Philadelphia in April. The video was put together by Sick Drummer Magazine and Jeff Grindstopher of Grindstopher Productions including additional footage and audio by Frank Huang of Max Volume Silence Live/Metal Injection and Nick Martin of Metal Nick Live Videos and Photography.

Pummeling Philadelphia grindcore trio DIE CHOKING has confirmed an August US tour with Mister Lizard and Bathe, releasing the dates alongside new visual evidence of the band’s live shock-and-awe tactics.

Preceding the newly-confirmed tour, DIE CHOKING will be storming several fest shows, beginning with the Official Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest Pre-Party Matinee presented by BlowTheScene.com in Philadelphia, next Saturday, April 22nd, the show also featuring Pyrrhon and doubling as a record release show for Artificial Brain. May 26th sees the band heading north to Ithaca to take part in the next installment of 1Fest alongside Artificial Brain, Disparo, and others. Two days later, DIE CHOKING travels to Baltimore for their debut Maryland Deathfest performance with Terrorizer, Iron Lung, War Master, PLF, Genocide Pact, Suppression, and others.

DIE CHOKING’s newly-booked Sumer tour runs through the East Coast and Midwest states from August 10th through 20th, also presented by BlowTheScene.com. As with their unstoppable III debut LP, the band will utilize their upcoming Spring and Summer tour dates as testing ground for new material, as the band prepares to record its follow-up, IV, early in the Fall season. DIE CHOKING recently played a one-off show in Brooklyn, New York as part of Bozzfest alongside All Out War and others, the show acting as a benefit for Decibel Magazine writer David Shawn Bosler, who was badly hurt in a car accident over the holidays. DIE CHOKING’s entire set — which included guest vocals by Deb Cohen on the track “Civilian” – is now playing RIGHT HERE.

Philadelphia’s DIE CHOKING begins their US tour with Paris-based Department Of Correction this week.

Following DIE CHOKING’s first European tour early this year with DOC, the tour will now repeat itself on US shores. DOC will head into the country mid-October to join up with DIE CHOKING for a week-and-a-half of tour dates down the East Coast, beginning the eleven-city run across the East Coast in Allentown on Thursday, October 20th. From there, the bands will blaze through Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Richmond, Raleigh, Charlotte, Columbia, Atlanta, and Jacksonville, before coming to a finale at the massive The Fest 15 in Gainesville, with the likes of Fucking Invincible, Coke Bust, Braid, Night Birds, and dozens more.

One of 2015’s most unstoppable albums, DIE CHOKING’s III was initially released on limited vinyl through New York City-area-based The Compound Recs. after which it was licensed for release on CD through Poland’s Selfmadegod Records.

Philadelphia’s unhinged grind squad DIE CHOKING has just issued the first official video from their lauded and unstoppable III LP through an exclusive premiere at Clrvynt, and as always, announces another round of upcoming live actions.

The rapid visual deployment for “Dead Figurehead” is as intense and warped as DIE CHOKING’s auditory explosiveness on the track. A whirlwind of international leaders and political propaganda is delivered through a white-knuckled ride through a world of radical dementia, the video directed by Mitchell Luna (Maruta, Noisear) and Josh Mahesh (Heikousen, Fraud).

DIE CHOKING issues, “‘Dead Figurehead’ is a fuck-off to intolerance and pushes against the rising neo-fascism we are seeing in the US right now. There is a transparency and widespread popular criticism of American politics that we haven’t really seen since the 1960’s. The current candidacy has been an eye-opening mirror for Americans. In the end, it seems elected politicians are frequently not the leaders we want or need. Unfortunately, they may be the leaders we deserve.”

DOC will head into the country mid-October to join up with DIE CHOKING for a week-and-a-half of tour dates down the East Coast, which comes to a finale at the massive The Fest 15 in Gainesville, Florida with the likes of Fucking Invincible, Coke Bust, Braid, Night Birds, and dozens more. The tour is surrounded by and includes a rash of shows with the likes of Noisear, Gadget, Pyrrhon, Trap Them, Yautja, Cloud Rat, and many others. DIE CHOKING will also take part in the multi-state 1Fest in January, including successive shows with Cloud Rat in New York City, Syracuse, and Boston. The band has also been confirmed for Maryland Deathfest 2017, set to appear with the likes of Autopsy, Insect Warefare, Siege, Warmaster, PLF, Iron Lung, and more.

One of 2015’s most unstoppable albums, DIE CHOKING’s III was initially released on limited vinyl through New York City-area-based The Compound Recs. after which it was licensed for release on CD through Poland’s Selfmadegod Records. Philadelphia-based by-the-throat hardcore grinders DIE CHOKING will take their blistering live set to the audiences at Full Terror Assault fest this weekend in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois. The band will storm the main stage of the massive gathering alongside the likes of Lock Up, Rotten Sound, Dying Fetus, Cephalic Carnage, Sacred Reich, Shining, Master, and many others.

DIE CHOKING continues to tour in support of their debut LP, III, which has seen the band decimating audiences across North America and Europe steadily over the past year since the album’s release. The attack of the band’s first European tour early this year alongside Paris-based Department Of Correction will now repeat itself on US shores this Fall. Decibel Magazine calls the band, “the energetic, Hellenistic philosophy-obsessed future of grind,” offering, “Just don’t think that DIE CHOKING’s fondness of brevity is another example of 21st Century grind kid ADD… the band takes pride in the arrangements, narrative and atmosphere of whirlwinds…” Stereogum issued, “…III’s not all flying spittle and popping veins. Philly hypergrinders DIE CHOKING will tour their way down the East Coast on their way to Blood Rust Fest II this weekend, with several shows surrounding the gathering.

The DIE CHOKING trio raids Pittsburgh tomorrow, Friday, July 8th, before their trek takes them to Asheville, North Carolina for Blood Rust Fest II, where they’ll shred alongside the likes of Torch Runner, Prisoner, Meatwound, and many others during the two-day melee. A show on the way home pits them in Winston-Salem, North Carolina this Sunday, July 10th with Meatwound and others.

DIE CHOKING has also booked other new shows for the Summer and Fall months, with new one-off gigs with Organ Dealer, Noisear, Gadget and others added, and more info and shows added to the band’s upcoming US tour with Paris-based allies in Department Of Correction. Further tour updates will be made in the coming weeks. A new music video for the track “Dead Figurehead” is imminent.

DIE CHOKING will forge their way into Canada on their maiden live excursion in the country this weekend, confirmed to take part in Earslaughter Fest Vol 1 in Montreal alongside Macabre, Birdflesh, Malignant Tumor, and many others this Saturday, June 4th. Their performance at the fest on Saturday will be preceded by a show in Worcester on Friday evening, and followed by a set in Binghamton on Sunday.

Following their European tour together in February, the dates for DIE CHOKING’s upcoming US Fall tour with Paris-based Department Of Correction have also been announced. The shredding will begin on October 20th and storm down the entire East Coast, with the final show taking place October 30th at The Fest 15 in Gainesville alongside Fucking Invincible, Coke Bust, Braid, and tons more.

Additional one-off shows around the Fall tour and more are in the works, so as always, stand by for a further barrage of DIE CHOKING tour dates in the weeks ahead.
